Welcome to “La Rectoria” in Pedra
At an altitude of 1200 metres and in a privileged environment at the foot of the “Serra del Cadi” La Rectoria is ideal for individuals, families or groups of friends who would like to enjoy a stay in a natural environment to simply relax and enjoy the silence or spend days exploring the different activities on offer in the region, such as trekking, Romanic routes, excursions on quad, excursions on horseback, thermal baths, cycle tours, skiing, hot air balloon trips, mushroom picking….
A SINGULAR ENVIRONMENT
Situated in the middle of nature, surrounded by meadows and forests, and at the same time close to a wide variety tourist activities. Only 5 km from Bellver de Cerdanya, with supermarkets, restaurants, children’s playgrounds….18 km from Puigcerda, the district capital, 18 km from Masella ski station and within easy reach of ski resorts in Catalonia, France and Andorra
The building
Originally it was the rectory of the hermitage of Sant Julia de Pedra, one of the oldest hermitages on the Cerdanya Romanic route and dating back to the eleventh century. It has now been reformed as a rural hostel but it maintains its enchantment as a typical building of the Catalan Pyrenees. Its position allows us to enjoy panoramic views of the Masella mountain and Tossa d’Alp.
The building
Originally it was the rectory of the hermitage of Sant Julia de Pedra, one of the oldest hermitages on the Cerdanya Romanic route and dating back to the eleventh century.
